After over a decade of closure due to severe flooding, the Suiattle River Road has been reopened granting us access to the upper portion of the Suiattle River Valley. Federally appointed Wild & Scenic 50 years ago, this free-flowing river promises unrestrained wilderness for a truly special experience.
Great for first time rafters or families catering to members of all ages, our full-day Suiattle River trip features 11 miles of breathtaking scenery, wildlife and all the twisting and splashing thrills of Class II-III rapids for a memorable adventure.
This remote and playful river is one of Western Washington’s hidden gems and features a federally appointed Wild & Scenic rating. Free-flowing and boasting zero development along the banks, the Suiattle offers views of massive peaks, old-growth forest with trees that tower into the sky and water issuing from the Suiattle Glacier located on the east slope of Glacier Peak.
In addition to the beautiful scenery the forest provides, there is also the chance of sighting sandpipers, mergansers, harlequin ducks and many other types of indigenous wildlife.
Our highly experienced staff will take great care of you, sharing their vast knowledge and love of the area while guiding your group through the exhilarating sections of river.
This trip begins at 10AM in Darrington where your group will check-in, complete waivers and suit up. At 10:30 we will load up in our vans and head to the put in where your guide will give a safety orientation prior to launch. A delicious lunch will be provided at the mid-point of your adventure. The total time for this trip is 6 hours, encompassing the time you check in until the time you are ready to drive away.
